- Working on a writeup of the first console war, Atari VCS versus Intellivision, and how it centered around baseball video games. This started when I found two old commercials between the competitors that were responding to one another: Atari’s RealSports Baseball and Intellivision’s Baseball.
I also recorded gameplay footage of Home Run, the original Atari game being denigrated in the Intellivision ad above. Gotta say, it’s not an impressive game! - New games in the 30-30.club physical collection this week: R.B.I. Baseball 3 (Genesis), Backyard Baseball ’09 (Wii), and Major League Baseball (NES). This is the week for playing bad baseball games, apparently. (R.B.I. 3 is pretty okay I guess)
