There will be no blog post this week or for the next two weeks, while I’m making my first trip to Japan.
This site exists more or less because I discovered Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2011 almost 15 years ago while looking into an alternative to The Show. I enjoyed it enough to start teaching myself Japanese so I could play more of the game. Then that moved onto the Pawapuro series, then Famista games for Famicom and Super Famicom, then on and on. I wanted to see and try every baseball game I’d been missing.
I’ll be going to at least four different baseball stadiums, and seeing three games if the weather cooperates. And I’ll explore game stores and arcades to hopefully stumble into something I’ve never played before.
The trip isn’t all about baseball and baseball video games of course. Looking forward to some great food and sights and I have tickets to a big J-pop concert as well.
YouTube uploads will continue on the normal schedule, with a few really interesting things set to go during my trip.

And who knows how soon they’ll be ready, but I have plans for a few video essays that should be fun to make and hopefully to watch.
