The 2022 edition of Sony’s baseball video game series comes to a new platform (Nintendo Switch) and switches to a new broadcasting team (Boog Sciambi and Chris Singleton).

MLB The Show 22 includes full 40-man, AA, and AAA rosters for each Major League Baseball team, updated throughout the year.

Series Firsts

  • This is the first game in the MLB The Show series to come out on Nintendo Switch, or any Nintendo platform. Like MLB The Show 21, crossplay is supported for all platforms, so players on different platforms can play online with or against each other.
  • For players to carry on their progression across multiple platforms, this is the first game in the series with a cross-save feature.
  • This game has a new broadcast team: Boog Sciambi and Chris Singleton.
  • MLB The Show 22 has two new difficulty settings, Amateur and Minors. The full list in order is now Beginner, Amateur, Minors, Rookie, Veteran, All-Star, Hall of Fame, Legend.
