An Operation Sports preview from February 2000 claimed the commentary team would be Jon Miller and Rick Sutcliffe. The official ESPN The Games site later named Chris Berman and Joe Morgan as the commentary team.
At E3 in May 2000, the game crashed frequently. A Konami PR rep told GamePen that the game was delayed until 2001, but it would never release.
