Backyard Baseball '97 is a re-release of the original Backyard Baseball, ported for release on Steam and for play on modern platforms.
The presentation, functionality, and gameplay is identical to the original release, besides the removal of the logos and references to Humongous Entertainment, the original game's developer.
At the 2025 Cubs Convention in January, a future mobile release was announced.
