R.B.I. Baseball '95 is the final Sega game in its series, dating back to the original R.B.I. Baseball. This is the first game in the series published under the Time Warner Interactive name, after Tengen/Atari Games was acquired by Time Warner. The game requires use of the 32X, an expansion unit for the Sega Genesis.
A Super Nintendo title was released the same year, Super R.B.I. Baseball, developed by Gray Matter.
The series would later be revived by MLB Advanced Media, with the release of R.B.I. Baseball 14.
