* Taisen (Exhibition) - Play a single game.
* Pennant - A "franchise mode" equivalent. Control a team for multiple seasons. Sign, trade, and develop players.
* Dokodemo Scenario (Anywhere Scenario) - Play out key moments from the season. New for the Super Definitive Edition, there is a Scenario moment for every team in every game of the season.
* Success Mode - A story/life sim mode. This game has five separate Success Modes with different storylines, adding one to the original edition of the game.
* My Life - Control a single player in their pro baseball career, with some life sim elements.
* Home Run Kyousou (Home Run Competition) - A home run derby mode. Hit as many home run as you can in ten pitches. Hitting all ten leads to bonus time, and the mode will keep going until the player fails to hit a home run.
* Taiketsu! Densetsu Senshu (Legendary Player Showdown) - Using an active pro or one of your players created in Success Mode, face a sequence of OB pros from a previous era. When facing pitchers, the goal is to get a hit in three at-bats. When facing hitters, the goal is to get an out in a single at-bat. Beating the player unlocks them as an OB to add to any team in Arrange Mode.
* Arrange - Create your own custom team or make roster adjustments to teams. In this edition, these custom teams cannot be used in Pennant Mode.
