Roster

Fifteen teams are available: The 12 professional teams in NPB, All-Star teams for both NPB leagues, plus Team Japan. Team Japan's roster and ratings are based on the 2023 World Baseball Classic, though Lars Nootbaar is not included.

Initial rosters on release reflect the team composition towards the end of the 2024 regular season. A 2025 roster update is planned, and will be separately selected prior to the main menu if this is handled like previous Konami baseball game roster updates. Each NPB team has a 29-player primary roster, with a varying number of farm team (ni-gun) players.

Each current NPB manager and coach can be unlocked to include on rosters if desired, with their appearance based on 2024 but ratings based on their peak playing season.

Thirteen legendary NPB players and eleven former NPB players currently in MLB are available to unlock. MLB player ratings are generally based on their last year in NPB. Legend player ratings are based on a certain peak year of their career. Two versions are available of Ichiro and Shohei Ohtani to reflect different eras in their careers.

YouTuber k4sen is also unlockable, including his 3D-scanned likeness and motion-captured animations. video of his visit to Konami to capture these details is here.

Secrets / Cheats

Earn VP points efficiently

  1. Start an exhibition game. Play as Team Japan vs. the Seibu Lions (or another light-hitting team). Set yourself as the Home team. Choose the highest difficulty, Spirits.
  2. Change match settings so that extra innings continue for the maximum length (15 innings).
  3. (Optional) Change match settings so that your team has all maximum mood and the CPU team are all at lowest mood. You can also change batting settings to give yourself the highest level of Lock-on for easier hitting.
  4. You must pitch a perfect game for 15 innings, one inning at a time. Save and quit at the end of each inning, so you can save-scum after any deviations from the perfect game. When hitting, do not score any runs until the bottom of the 15th.
  5. In the bottom of the 15th, get a runner to third base with less than two outs, then save and quit out.
  6. You can now reuse this Exhibition Mode game-in-progress save when needed to get a large chunk of VP. Each time you load your save and win the game, you will receive 26,000 VP for the 15-inning perfect game. If your save is in the top slot, you can simply mash the X button (PS5) / A button (PC) after a game to menu through and load the save again.

This takes about two hours of setup work, but allows for quick and easy VP afterwards.
